Mid-autumn Festival, one of China's traditional festivals, is on August 15 of the lunar calendar every year (Sept. 21st of the Gregorian calendar this year). It's said the moon is the brightest and roundest on this day. And the round is "Yuan" in Chinese, it also has the meaning of reunion in Chinese Tradition. Hence, the Chinese usually spend the day with their family(We have a three-day holiday), they eat moon cake, enjoy the full moon, and do everything you can see on the wiki.

In fact, most festivals in Chinese express the spirit of family. During Qing Ming Festival, people will go to tomb sweeping and offer sacrifices to ancestors with their
family; Chinese New Year, the festival that foreign businesses know best about China (Because of the longest holiday and suspension of production for a period of time), will make people from all over the country get back to their hometown for a reunion.

Now, during the pandemic period, some people may choose to celebrate it by themselves or with friends instead of going hometown, but this Mid-autumn Festival will bring us and our family hearts together.

Sharing our sincere wishes with you and hope you take care and stay safe in such an epidemic situation.
