Alibaba connects you with manufacturers from China. It’s a common marketplace to find existing products, but you can also use Alibaba to connect with manufacturers to create custom products. Simply search for the products you’re looking for and browse through the various suppliers and manufacturers.
It’s easy to find suppliers from Alibaba. The marketplace lets you vet manufacturers upfront to get the best products at a fair price. When researching manufacturers on Alibaba, make sure they have the following qualifications:
Gold supplier, which means they pay for their Alibaba membership.
Verified, which means a third-party company or Alibaba has visited their factory.
Trade assurance, a free service that protects your orders from payment to delivery.

What if you search for too many results then hard to choose? The next step is to find out which companies have official websites. View their official website or employee’s LinkedIn. (www.hedarack.com)
You can browse each website to see the potential strength of the company. Generally, it is recommended to browse the product page, company introduction, case content; these three pages can show the strength and history of a company.

How to make a Preliminary Selection of a reliable Shelving Supplier

Now that you know where and who the suppliers are you can start being a little pickier. You need to determine what sources are worth exploring more in-depth and which ones will meet your needs. Look at each potential supplier individually and consider the following:
* Do they have the ability to deliver what you need or when you need it?

*  Are they financially secure?
*  How long have they been in business?
*  Are their products get approval by any certificate organization?

* Do they come recommended by someone you trust or do they at least have good reviews?

Try to get the list down to around five. The fewer options you have, the easier your decision-making becomes.

3. Do a credit check. If your supplier doesn’t have sufficient cash flow, there is a chance they might go out of business as soon as you need them the most.
4. Don’t buy from too many suppliers. Using fewer suppliers is more cost-effective and easier to manage. However, don’t put your eggs in one basket by getting everything from only one supplier. This way when things don’t work out with that one supplier you won’t be completely stranded.
5. Ask people who are currently dealing with the suppliers you’re looking at for their advice and experience with a particular supplier. They might be able to save you a lot of time.
